Stones

Various stones have been used in jewellery since prehistoric times. As a child you probably found a pretty pebble on a beach or riverbed and kept it as a little treasure. This same emotion is what makes stones precious. Certain stones have qualities such as beauty or durability that add to their value and make them more suited to being one of those little treasures
Diamonds are the hardest stone, which is one of the two main reasons
that it has become the traditional stone used in engagement rings. The
second of course, is that it is pretty. Durability and beauty. These are
the two main components of gemstones. They are what separate a precious
stone from lesser material.
Diamonds are graded in a very specific manner, the Four C's
which you are likely familiar with. Coloured stones are different. They're
judged more on their unique merits. Colour, hue, saturation, inclusons,
cut. All factors in the value of a coloured stone..
We select our stones based largely on what we like. We're like kids in
a candy store when we are selecting stones. Every one of us has a passion
for stones, and we are more than happy to share our enthusiasm for these
pretty little treasures with you, and help you select something that you
wwill treasure!
